Duracoat Royale All Purpose Premium Undercoat is formulated with a special type of extender to confer good non absorbent surface for subsequent topcoats of gloss, eggshell and water based sheen finishes. Improved formulation gives better adhesion, excellent opacity, stops surface leaching and staining of subsequent coats. It is suitable for interior and exterior surfaces including wood, metal, plaster, stone, asbestos after applying appropriate primer.

  • Can be applied by brush, roller or airless spray
  • Stir well before use
Priming:

For wood substrates, first prime with Duracoat Wood Primer.
For metal substrates, first prime with Duracoat Red Oxide Zinc Chromate Primer.

Thinning:

Use Duracoat White Spirit for thinning. DO NOT overthin.

Spreading rate:

Spreading rate 14 – 18 sq.mt/ltr. depending on the surface porosity and texture.

Shade range:

Available in white and 15 different shades. Special shades can be made available on request.

Pack Sizes:

Available in 1 Ltr, 4 Ltrs, and 20 Ltrs.

Hints and tips (for best results)
  • Always read instructions
  • Always use good quality brushes
  • Try to paint in one motion
Wise precautions:
  • Ensure good ventilation during application and drying.
  • Avoid contact with skin and eyes.
  • In case of contact with skin wash immediately with plenty of soap and water. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice.
  • Keep out of reach of children

Instructions
Please read carefully to get optimum performance from this high quality product.

  • Stir well till homogeneous after opening.
  • Using a little quantity of paint, thin to brushable viscosity and apply onto a small area on the prepared surface to confirm shade and finish. This will avoid redoing the whole work if the shade is not suitable to your taste

Surface preparation : All surfaces should be clean, dry and free from oil, grease, algae, mould, dirt and other impurities. Cracks and defects should be filled with suitable crack filler. Powdery or unsound surfaces should be thoroughly rubbed down and dusted off.

Application : Thin with Duracoat White Spirit. Do Not overthin. Can be applied by brush, roller or spray. Add 10% to 15% of Duracoat White Spirit.

For application on plaster apply one coat of Duracoat Royale All Purpose Premium Undercoat followed by finish coat. For application on wooden, metal surfaces apply one coat of appropriate primer followed by one coat of Duracoat All Purpose Premium Undercoat.

Spreading capacity : 14 – 18 sq.mt/ltr depending on the surface porosity and texture.

Drying : Under normal conditions surface is normally touch dry in 4hrs. Overcoatable in 12 hrs.
