Duracoat Royale 100% Pure Acrylic Outdoor Protector is manufactured using 100% pure acrylic resin from a world renowned company Rohm and Haas. The pure acrylic resin confers exceptional weather resistance resulting in a long life protection of external building surfaces. It is further enhanced with potent algaecides and preservatives for dry film protection, which will resist mould and algae growth. Duracoat Royale 100% Pure Acrylic Outdoor Protector is recommended for exterior use in highly humid and coastal weather conditions where the paint is subjected to severe weather.

Use clean water to thin. DO NOT overthin as this will impair the final properties of the paint film. If first coat used as undercoat add 100% clean water. Subsequent coats thin with 40% clean water for best results.
Spreading rate:
Spreading rate varies according to the surface porosity and texture. Approximate spreading rates on different surfaces are given below.

Hints and tips (for best results)
- Always read instructions
- Always use good quality brush
- Try to paint in one motion
- Always pre test on a small area first
- Ensure good ventilation during application and drying.
- Avoid contact with skin and eyes.
- In case of contact with skin wash immediately with plenty of soap and water. In case of contact with eyes, rinse
- mmediately with plenty of water and seek medical advise.
- If spraying wear Dustcoat or Overall, Handgloves and Breathing Mask.
- Keep out of reach of children.
Instructions
Please read carefully to get optimum performance from this high quality product.
- Stir well till homogeneous after opening.
- Using a little quantity of paint, thin to brushable viscosity and apply onto a small area on the prepared surface to confirm shade and finish. This will avoid redoing the whole work if the shade is not suitable to your taste.
Surface Preparation: Ensure adequate surface preparation is done.
New and unpainted surface: Must be dry, new plaster should be allowed to dry for 2-3months. Do not apply in rainy season. Ensure there are no greasy or chemical impurities. If wet from rain allow to dry for 2-3days after rain has sopped. If mould, algae or fungus have grown, clean vigorously with wire brush, flush with clean water, then apply one coat of Duracoat Fungicidal Wash and allow to dry completely.
Previously painted surfaces in sound condition: Ensure surface is dry and free from any fungal or chemical contamination. No priming is required. If applying on exterior, avoid filling compound like crack filler. Cracks should be filled up using cement and sand mixtures at the ration of 3parts cement, 1 part sand. Allow about 3weeks drying. If applying on gloss paint, the surface must be abraded with sand-paper till dull, then apply Duracoat Royale 100% Pure acrylic Outdoor 3 coats. First a thin coat followed by two heavier coats.
Previously painted surfaces in unsound condition: Loosely holdings surfaces must be appropriately prepared. Scrap off all flaking and powdery coatings prior to painting. Walls with distemper, white-wash, cement paint or lime wash must be completely scrubbed down to cement base. Treat surface for mould or algae if present with first wire-brushing, then Duracoat Fungicidal Wash. Ensure surface is completely dry before applying 3coats of the Duracoat Royale 100% Pure Acrylic following the thinning instructions.
Thinning: Use clean water to avoid colour variation. 1st coat, priming coat, thin with 1:1 water by volume. 2nd to 4th coats, thin with 1:0.4 –0.5 of water. Allow adequate drying in this sequence at least 3to 4hrs in between coats or overnight drying.
Application: By brush, roller or spray.
Spreading Capacity: 16-18 sq. mtr/ltr on 1st coat on smooth surface. 14-16 sq. mtr/ltr on subsequent coats on smooth surface.
Drying: Touch Dry in 20mins. Recoatable in 3 to 4 hours.
Stir well before use. Wash equipment with water.
