Use clean water to thin to brushable consistency. DO NOT overthin as this will impair the final properties of the paint film. Spreading rate : Spreading rate varies according to the surface porosity and texture. Approximate spreading rates on different surfaces are given below.
Shade range : Available from BS 4800, Royale colour book and Duracoat Classic fandeck. Special shades can be made on request. Pack Sizes : Available in 1 Ltr, 4 Ltrs and 20 Ltrs. Hints and tips (for best results)
Instructions
Surface preparation : All surfaces should be clean, dry and free from oil, grease and other impurities. Cracks and defects should be filled with suitable crack filler. Powdery or unsound surfaces should be thoroughly cleaned . Then apply one coat of Duracoat Pliolite surface conditioner. New surfaces : No primer is required on sound masonry or soft board. Apply one coat of Duracoat Royale Solid Matt Emulsion as a priming coat, thin down with water in ratios of 1:1 by volume. Hard board or chipboard should be sealed with one coat of Duracoat Royale All Purpose Undercoat. Then apply two coats of Duracoat Royale Solid Matt Emulsion. Previously painted surfaces : Remove all loose, chalky, flaking materials. Powdery materials should be removed with a wire brush. Treat all surfaces with Duracoat Pliolite Surface Conditioner. Treat surface for mould or algae if present with Duracoat Fungicidal Wash. Allow to dry. Then apply a minimum of two coats of Duracoat Royale Solid Matt Emulsion. Application : Can be applied by brush, roller or aireless spray. Do Not overthin. Add 15% to 20% for best results on finish coat. Spreading capacity : 14 – 18 sq.mt/ltr on smooth previously painted non porous surface. 13 – 15 sq.mt/ltr on cement – wood float. Drying : Touch dry in 30 minutes, overcoatable within 4 – 5 hours under normal drying conditions. Stir well before use, clean equipment with water.
