Product Description: Duracoat Polyurethane Wood Seal is a hard glaze, one pack polyurethane finish primarily intended for internal use. It is based on polyurethane modified alkyd. Duracoat Polyurethane Wood Seal is suitable for wood flooring work, chipboard, hardboard, woodwork, furniture and all other interior timber surfaces. It preserves and enhances wood grain, resists stains caused by hot water, dilute domestic acids, alcohols and oil. Finish: Full Gloss or Matt or as ordered. Application: By brush, spray or cloth pad. Thinning: Normally supplied ready for use. If required, use Duracoat White Spirit Drying Time: Dust free 2-4hours, Recoatable 24 hours Cleaning: Clean equipment with Duracoat White Spirit Spread Rate: 16-18 square metres per litre depending on surface porosity Pack Sizes: 1 litre, 4 litres. Specification Surface Preparation: Surface to be coated must be clean, dry and free from oil or wax. All traces of wax or oil should be removed by power sanding particularly if wax had been used on the surface before. New Wood Surfaces: Apply on coat of Duracoat Polyurethane Wood Stain as a priming coat. This staining coat should be well brushed or ragged into the surface. When dry apply two or three coats of Polyurethane Wood Seal until the required gloss level is achieved. Previously Varnished Surfaces: Remove all previous varnish, loose and flaking materials and sandpaper wood to a smooth surface. Then apply Duracoat Polyurethane Wood Seal as for new Wood surfaces above.
