Product Description: A primer used for blast cleaned structural steel work. It provides protection against corrosion during the fabrication period. It gives maximum adhesion on galvanized surface and all smooth ferrous and non- ferrous surfaces. Finish: Matt Application: By Brush, or spray Thinning: Supplied ready to use. Drying Time: Touch dry: 20-30 minutes Through dry: 90 minutes Re-cotable: 3 hours Cleaning: Clean all equipment with Duracoat White Spirit or Basco Standard Thinner. Colour Range: Light yellow Spread Rate: 16-18 square metres per litre when applied by brush on smooth surfaces. It will vary when sprayed. 11-13 square metre per litre when applied to blast cleaned surfaces at 12 microns dry film thickness. Pack Sizes: 1 litre, 4 litres, 20 litres Specifications Metal Surfaces: Apply by brush or spray one coat of Duracoat Etch Primer. Overcoat with a conventional metal primer for maximum protection on exposed metal or steel in damp conditions. Safety Precaution: Duracoat Etch Primer is acidic. Wear gloves and goggles before application as it can be irritating to the eyes and skin. When applying by spray, a face mask should be worn and should be sprayed in well ventilated area. In the event of contact with skin, wash the affected area with water and soap immediately. In the event of contact with eyes sprinkle water in the eyes and get medical attention immediately.
